The template in this particular situation is a weekly homework schedule. Along the left side are the student's 8 periods, and along the top are the days of the week.
Students can use this resource for not only any subject, but all of their subjects at the same time. One of the most important aspect of college that is vital for high school students to understand before they reach a university is organization. Writing everything down, from assignments to appointments, is vital in keeping up with grades and being able to manage one's time.
This template, overall, does not address any specific standard. However, with its ability to keep a student organized and well managed, it assists in every state and federal standard for students. Not only will they learn vital skills needed at a collegiate level, but also will keep themselves organized within all their high school classes, thus one step closer to meeting state standards.
Many students simply do not manage their time or plan out their school schedule at all. They just get their homework done so they can go hang out with their friends or go to some social function. At the same time, many students are involved with sports or after school activities and rush to get their homework finished. With this template, however, they will be able to sit down on a weekly basis and plan out their goals and manage their time effectively. In this way, they will more efficiently manage their time and become more productive overall with both their school work and after school time management.
In the end, the skills they learn through this tool, time management and organization, will assist them at both the collegiate and professional level of society.
